D.V.M. Positions

     Cascade Veterinary Referral Center is seeking board certified/eligible individuals in the specialties of internal medicine, neurology, ophthalmology and cardiology to join our growing specialty practice in Portland, Oregon. 
     Our current staff consists of three full-time surgeons and an internist. Our 9,600 square foot, state of the art facility is well equipped to offer a broad array of general, orthopedic, oncologic, neurosurgical and diagnostic procedures. CVRC offers digital radiography, on-site spiral CT, ultrasound, endoscopy, arthroscopy, and nearby access to MRI and a radiation oncologist. We also have a great relationship with our local diagnostic lab that facilitates rapid turn around on all laboratory testing.

Technical Positions

Head Veterinary Technician:
      CVRC is seeking a highly motivated individual for administrative position overseeing and coordinating the medical staff including technicians, technician assistants and kennel staff. Must be committed to employee development and coaching. Oregon certification and prior specialty hospital experience a must; experience in a surgical referral practice highly desirable. Need minimum two years experience supervising ten or more employees. Experience managing employees on a 24 hour schedule is a plus, as the CVRC offers 24 hour patient care.
      Position is primarily administrative, but the selected individual must be willing to teach and act as a resource on the floor, as well as be open to filling floor shifts if that is what the needs of the hospital dictate. Treatment Technician:
     
CVRC is seeking an independent, experienced and licensed technician to work the day shift and provide the highest quality nursing care to post operative surgical and internal medicine patients. Responsibilities also include hospital housekeeping, restocking, maintaining clear and concise nursing notes, entering charges, and attend CE and staff meetings as requested by the supervisor. All applicants must have good interpersonal and customer service skills as well as be skilled in problem solving and decision making. Current and valid Oregon drivers license required. Surgical Technician:
     CVRC is seeking a CVT or experienced tech for F/T surgical technician position, preferably with prior surgery experience but willing to train the right person. Position requires dedication, ability to multitask, self-motivation, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of surgeons and techs. Duties include, but not limited to; monitoring anesthesia and/or scrubbing in for soft-tissue and orthopedic surgeries, cleaning instruments and surgical suites, communicating with clients, and discharging surgical patients. Front Desk Positions

Client Care Coordinator:
     CVRC is seeking a competent, self-motivated individual to greet and assist our clients at the front desk. Client Care Coordinators are primarily responsible for making our clients feel welcome and instilling confidence in our services. Duties include, but are not limited to, answering multiple phone lines, making appointment reminder calls, checking patients in and out of the hospital, taking payments and deposits, reconciling daily payment reports, and performing other administrative and cleaning tasks as needed.
     All applicants should be highly skilled in customer service and have familiarity with Microsoft Office and other Windows-based software. Front desk experience in a medical setting is highly desirable, while veterinary knowledge is helpful but not mandatory. A strong compassion for companion animals and a belief in quality veterinary care is required.
